On the 18th of February, Lut Baten and Jan Van Maele presented IEREST at the ‘Start-up meeting of the task force on internationalization of the curriculum and the classroom’ at the University of Leuven.
In that occasion, IEREST has been brought under the attention of Bart De Moor, the Vice-Rector of International Policy of the KU Leuven, Sarah Stroobants, Advisor at the international cooperation and programmes unit; Klaartje Proesmans, Officer at the international admissions and mobility unit; Agnetha Broos, Academic Development and Instructional Design Unit; and Heleen Yu, International coordinator of the student council LOKO.
The Leuven IEREST team has therefore had the chance to emphasize how important a collaboration with the Leuven task force on internationalization is for the very aims of IEREST which include the implementation of the Intercultural Path at a structural level in the university. Moreover, future collaboration have been planned as some members of the task force will assist the Leuven IEREST team in distributing the questionnaire across the university, while others will participate in the project focus groups (Summer 2013) and in IEREST meetings in Leuven. On the other hand, the IEREST project will help the task force to collect good practices of internationalizing the curriculum.
