The symposium
The symposium showcased the pathways and associated materials designed by the IEREST team to develop intercultural understanding, awareness, and interaction in study abroad students, that is, on the teaching and learning of intercultural experience. The project objectives, methods, and materials were presented to a range of audiences (e.g., HEIs, International Offices, policy developers, researchers and academics, teachers, intercultural trainers, students, national/local stakeholders). An important part of the symposium included participant experiences of and feedback on the materials as a means to enrich study abroad experience.
